22 Most Jaw Droppingly Beautiful Waterfalls in the World

19. Staubbach Falls , Switzerland

Staubacch Falls is one of the continent’s highest free cascading waterfalls that is believed to have inspired Johann Wolfganf von Goethe’s “Song of the Spirits over the Waters” poem. The waterfall is among dramatically beautiful waterfalls in Lauterbrunnen Valley. Staubacch is almost 300 meters in height and is the nation’s third largest waterfall.

During summers, warm winds can be experienced enriching the water from all directions, thus spraying water in multiple directions. It is this spray of water that gives Staubacch its name, which literally means dust.
