5. Yosemite Falls, California
One of Yosemite National Park’s several natural treasures, Yosemite Falls are located around 2500 feet above the upper falls to the lowest falls base, making it North America’s highest falls, and the planet’s sixth highest. The waterfalls are at their peak during May, and flow from November to July.
Look no further than Yosemite for a thrilling 8 hour walk that is worth the trouble when you catch sweeping glimpses of the falls from top. Don’t forget to carry lots of sunscreen, hat and plenty of water. The falls trails feature plenty of switchbacks and minimum shade during peak summers.
