4. Popeye Village, Malta
The vibrant and ruggedly beautiful Popeye village is Malta’s true hidden gem. The tiny, colorful houses in the village were created for shooting a musical in the early 80s. Today, the village has been converted into an exciting resort, complete with an amusement park, stunning bay vistas and cruises. Some home interiors still retain their original appeal when the Popeye musical was being shot.
